The annual Inter-Counties Tournament for both men and ladies was held over the weekend of Feb 22-24.
Dublin’s mens team had a superb tournament, making it through to the final where they came up against reigning champions, Meath.
In a fantastic final Dublin rallied from 4 nil and 5-1 down to level the match at 6-6, with one set left to play. The deciding set went to 2-2, leaving the championship to be decided by one final leg of 501. Damien Doyle hit the winning double to give the Royal county victory by the smallest of margins. Congrats to Meath but congrats also to the Dublin lads, who were outstanding all weekend!
Dublin Ladies were also in action, and were unlucky to lose out to Cork in a hard-fought semi-final. Congrats to Wexford Ladies, who beat Cork in the final.
